Vacation Genealogy

Posted on July 24, 2014 by Justin Durand

“There is still plenty of time left for summer travels, or perhaps you prefer the cooler months, in the fall, when the air is cooler and the kids have returned to school. Regardless of when your next adventure is booked, be sure to check out our list of travel apps for the family history traveler.“

  • Lynn Palermo, “20 Apps for the Family History Traveler”, The Armchair Genealogist (July 20, 2014).

My dream would be to be so organized I have the right app at the right time on a trip planned well enough that I get some genealogy out of it. The best I can do is remember bits and pieces to share with my fellow travelers: “Oh look, Green River. One of my ancestors was a pioneer here. His son had a store in Grand Junction.“
