Atheism 2.0. A TED Talk from three years ago. It must be seminal for a lot of people. I’m always surprised by how many of my friends, both theist and atheist, refer to it and post links to it.

Always interested in how the human brain processes information. In this study, they found that “When jazz musicians ‘trade fours’ they use parts of the brain linked to the structure of spoken language, but not those tied to spoken meaning.”

In other words, “it’s syntactic and not semantic processing that is key to this type of musical communication.” 

My college Communications prof told there is a difference, but I’m not sure I believed him until now.

He says, “in 70% of the cases the previous person died by unnatural means, meaning murder, suicide, or accident” and ” a quarter of the natural death cases is under the age of 15.” 

I wonder if that says anything about who is reincarnated, or just who remembers.
